About Ātahu
Ātahu is born from two creators, two lovers, two hearts, two spirits. We came together to create something special. We wanted something to pair powerfully with the healing work we already do, further supporting ourselves, our family, our community and our clients.
With our bodywork, energy work, traditional healing modalities, breathwork, spirit work, wound and shadow work, somatic and emotional healing, spiritual coaching/ guidance, and many other intuitive modalities that don’t quite fit a typical umbrella, we are building experiences, events, retreats and other both facilitated and self-guided healing curriculum to combine all our work into some big transformative moments of healing for everyone.
Ātahu was born to connect and bridge the healing together. Something wild, free, boundless and infinite but uniting, subtle and something we can weave into our everyday life. To hold and maintain the healing vibration once reached to keep you ascending and elevating, growing and perfecting in imperfection. When we looked around, we couldn’t find offerings of the vibration we were searching for, the quality and the essence didn’t match.
So we created Ātahu to fill this need. When experiencing our offerings, rolling the oils on the body, bringing them into your rituals, shifting the intention and energy of the space/room, pause and feel all the intention, the magic, the specific vibration and know for yourself. We’ll meet you there.
Why Ātahu?
Reaching back to learn your whakapapa (or ancestry) is a powerful way to find yourself and where you exist in the universe. It collectively means nothing for who you are forward, your path and where you go, what you make of your life, that belongs to you, but acknowledging the past, everyone who came before you to bring you to where your earthly story starts, the people who you are made of, for better or worse, all lead to your exact point of existence.
Regardless of your human relationships with those that come before, spiritually and energetically, they are your teammates, they are what launches you, they are where you’ve arrived. If not for them, you are not here- and your healing always benefits them. Your healing is for all, for your family, your children, your grandchildren, your nieces and nephews and little Niblings, your friends, your neighbours, your wider community, but also for everyone who comes before. You heal in all directions.

Reclamation of Te reo Māori, the language in my bones, a way of standing with the ancestors that we work with every day. So when it came time to name our creation here with Ātahu, it felt important to stay within that acknowledgement. We looked for something powerful in resonance, that also exemplified our intent to bring the little and giant shifts within. From something so small that fits neatly in your pocket, something so precious and magic that weaves naturally into your day, – blooms something pivotal, essential and infinite.
